Self-Worth and Business Performance
Do you believe self-worth, (how you see yourself) affects your performance in business?
Self –worth is inextricably tied to performance, good or lack thereof. This quote from The One Minute Manager, by Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson, says it all.
“People Who Feel
Good About Themselves
The corollary is true, as well….
People Who Produce
Feel Good About Themselves.
In fact in any endeavor, ‘your attitude determines your altitude’: How far you can soar!
How you feel about yourself and your ability to get ‘the job done” determines how well you perform the task.
Interestingly, in selling situations, new people without much experience can perform very well, if, they posses the magic ingredient of enthusiasm: 80% of the elements of success are attributed to Enthusiasm, 10% to Technique and 10% to Product Knowledge.
So, with such high percentage of the success elements allocated to enthusiasm, it would seem that enthusiasm is a very necessary part of a positive self-image.
